Self-exclusion at casinos: My PlayBreak
OLG’s My PlayBreak program lets you exclude yourself from OLG casinos and from OLG.ca. When you register for casinos, OLG takes a photo of your face for its facial-recognition system. You’ll find the program on OLG.ca.
Gambling websites have their own province-wide opt-out, BetGuard. It doesn’t cover land-based casinos, so for a casino, My PlayBreak is the tool to use.
Age limits in Ontario

Keeping it in check
- Decide what you can afford to lose before you go, and leave the bank card at home.
- Set a time to leave, and keep to it.
- The odds don’t turn in your favour the longer you play. A win is luck, not a pattern.
- Don’t chase losses, and don’t gamble to get away from a problem.
